Chai Tea Smoothie Recipe

At Tealated, we LOVE Chai Tea! We love it so much that we created a Chai Tea Smoothie to start our day out. If you love smoothies and Chai Tea then give this recipe a try.

Chai Tea Smoothie Recipe (makes approx. 1.5 cups)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. Chai Tea
  • 1 banana, peeled & frozen
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Directions:

The night before: Heat 1/2 cup water to boil. Steep 1 Tbsp. Chai Tea in hot water for 5 minutes. Strain leaves and let the tea cool. Pour the tea into an ice cube tray and freeze until solid. Peel banana and wrap in aluminum foil or place in airtight container and freeze overnight.

In the morning: Remove banana and tea ice cubes from freezer and defrost for 2 minutes. Break banana in half. Add Greek yogurt, honey, banana halves and chai tea ice cubes to blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a large glass and top with cinnamon. Enjoy!
